This week, to wrap up our August “All About Eyes” series, we’re discussing a common culprit that could be sabotaging your bright-eyed style (milia!) and giving you three simple “why-didn’t-I-think-of-that?” solutions!
Milia: these are the stubborn white bumps that commonly take residence around the delicate skin beneath the eye. While they are benign (it’s mostly oils & dead skin that’s trapped beneath the outer layers of your skin), they are incredibly frustrating – we know!
That’s why we wanted to give you 3 easy rituals to prevent milia from cropping up:
- Avoid using makeup that’s expired. Really. When in doubt, toss it out. Wearing expired products does more harm than good. Take note of subtle changes in the product. Has the color changed? Does it smell different? Is the liquid separating when before it was a uniform emulsion? These are all indicators that it’s time for an upgrade.
