Sweet organic blueberries are popping up in markets everywhere this week at great prices, so what better use than a blueberry beautyfood smoothie bursting with juicy goodness to get you motivated? Blueberries contain one of the highest levels of age and disease-fighting antioxidants found in any fruit, which make them as important to your well-being as they are delicious! Here they are paired with another antioxidant star, sage leaf, plus the complete protein of chia seed to give your body energy and your skin a radiance that can only come from pure, natural ingredients!

As a masque, the chia acts as a gentle exfoliant, while their high alpha-lipolic acid content minimizes fine lines. Blueberries increase elasticity, and when you add fresh lemon to brighten and clarify, and you’ve got a recipe for mega glow!

Om Beauty Tip:  Sage leaf is also found in Om Aroma & Co.’s Raspberry Protect Serum for it’s amazing wrinkle-reducing and cell renewing properties.

Smoothie Ingredients:

  • 1 pt. Blueberries | anti-aging + elasticity

  • 3 large sage leaves | wrinkle reducing + cell renewal

  • Juice of ½ lemon | brightening + detoxifies

  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds, soaked overnight | exfoliant + minimizes fine lines

  • ½ C unsweetened almond milk | beauty fats + vitamin E

  • 1tsp vanilla or seeds of 1 vanilla bean | soothes + protects from environmental stresses

  • 1 Tbsp raw coconut nectar or 1 packet stevia, to taste | natural sweetening

  • 4 spring water ice cube

Masque Directions:
